For a while there, it certainly felt like our beloved Britney Spears wasn't following through with too many good ideas. But recently, the singer (who has been on the upswing) had one of the best ones we can remember in a long time. It was confirmed a few days ago that there would be an all-Britney episode of "Glee" (a la Madonna) but the news only got better when we found out the "Oops...I Did It Again" singer would actually appear in said episode.
Turns out, that was all Britney's idea! "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy told MTV at the red carpet premiere of his new movie "Eat Pray Love," "Well, it's her idea. She sort of wants to do a 'Where's Waldo?'-type thing with 'Where's Britney?'" Ryan goes on to say that Britney will "kind of" be playing herself in the season two episode.
Ryan, who says he's been a fan of Brit's for years ("I've always loved her," he told us) cites the cast (well, maybe not Matthew Morrison, who told US Weekly back in May, "I hope our show doesn't go that route.") as the reason for the pop star's upcoming appearance. "So many of the kids on the show say, 'We grew up with Britney. We want to do Britney. So I said, 'OK,'" adding, "but I'm filled with admiration for her."
We're guessing one of the people who championed for Team Britney was Heather Morris. Heather, (who plays, fittingly, Brittany) said at the Teen Choice Awards, if Britney were actually to show up on set, "That'd be so nerve-racking. She's rocking!" Now it seems as though their paths will cross, as yesterday on Twitter Iqbal Theba (Principal Figgins) spilled, "the Britney Spears episode is called Britney/Brittany."

Kings of Leon say 'no' to Glee
Pop rockers Kings of Leon are too cool for school, according to reports.
The band does not want the hit show Glee using any of their music.
Kings of Leon frontman, Caleb Followill, told U.K. newspapers that he has rejected the show's request to use the band's music, and added that he has never watched the popular series.
This was not the first time Glee was turned down. British rock band Coldplay also turned down Glee, when asked to use their music, but Coldplay later changed their minds and gave the show full access to their entire catalogue.

If Kings of Leon think they don't need Glee, I won't say anything further. There was never a complaint yet about a song featured in Glee.

Kings of Leon Turns Down Glee
by Megan Gibson
Glee is arguably one of the hottest shows out there right now. Everyone loves it, right? Well, apparently not.
The Fox musical show—about a high school glee club—is clearly adored by viewers and critics alike, with more than 8 million viewers each week and 19 Emmy nominations. Even TIME's own James Poniewozik listed it as one of the top 10 television series in 2009.
And with that kind of love it's no wonder that mega-star musicians like Madonna, Neil Diamond, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé have all allowed their music to be covered by the singing cast. Even Paul McCartney—rumored to be a huge fan of the show—has offered up songs for the upcoming season.
Yet despite all the hype, there is at least one act that won't be featured on the show. Reuters reports that when approached by the show, the band Kings of Leon--who've had hit singles with "Sex on Fire" and "Use Somebody"--promptly refused the producers' request to use their music.
Glee fans shouldn't take it personally, however. Lead singer Caleb Followill said that the band has also turned down licensing requests from movie studios and Ugly Betty. Followill's reported response to requests is, ”Man, don't even waste your energy."

So what if they refused using their music in Glee? Who are they anyway?

Britney Spears May Cover 'Me Against The Music' On 'Glee'
by Mawuse Ziegbe
It appears viewers may get a taste of Madonna in Britney Spears' "Glee" episode.
Spears, who has been sending out updates from the set of the Fox megahit, tweeted a picture of herself in a scene reminiscent of her Madonna collaboration, "Me Against the Music." In the picture, Spears faces "Glee" castmember Heather Morris, who is decked out in a suit and blue shirt similar to the gender-bending look the superstar singer sports in the 2003 video. Instead of reprising her original look, though, Spears appears to be taking on Madonna's role, donning an all-white outfit reminiscent of Madge's look in the clip.
The singer accompanied the picture with a Twitter missive referencing the lyrics from the uptempo track: "All my GLEEKERS in the crowd, Grab a partner take it down."
In addition to possibly revamping "Me Against the Music," the upcoming Britney tribute episode will feature the smash hit that started it all. Jenna Ushkowitz confirmed to MTV News earlier this month that Lea Michele will perform a version of " ... Baby One More Time." Ushkowitz also revealed that fans may see a match-up between the "Circus" superstar and the show's in-house Brittany.
"Some old Britney, some new Britney, some Brittany of our Brittany from the glee club. So it should be funny," Ushkowitz said. "We're really excited. I love Britney Spears."
Madonna didn't participate in the making of her "Glee" tribute episode but Spears appears to be having fun on the set.
"We love GLEE! Its GLEEKERIFIC!!!" Spears tweeted on Thursday (August 19). The singer also tweeted about her first day of filming on Wednesday and sent out another picture. "What's up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!!" Spears typed. "Can't wait for you guys to see the episode!"

Britney Spears goes Madge for Glee
By Nadia Sam-Daliri
Britney Spears is going all out to make her Glee cameo memorable - and recreating a steamy scene from her duet with Madonna is her first grand idea.
In scenes from her upcoming tribute episode, Britney traps Heather Morris - who funnily enough plays ditzy Brittany in the E4 show - in a replica of her 2003 music video Me Against The Music with the Queen of Pop.
But flashing her trademark cheesy grin instead of reaching in for a smooch as she did with Madge, the singer toned down the raunchiness for the family show.
Earlier this week she posted a mocked-up snap of herself posing with Glee lead Lea Michele on her Twitter page.
She accompanied it with the caption: "About to do my first shot of the day for Glee tweeties! Here we goooo!"
And after filming her first scenes, she raved: "What's up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can't wait for you guys to see the episode!"
After putting the latest snap on Twitter, Britney said: "All my Gleekers in the crowd, grab a partner take it down," re-jigging the lyrics from the duet.
Britney is appearing in episode two of the second series of Glee, in an episode entitled Britney/Brittany.
She appears in dreams the Glee club members have after they visit the dentist.
Creator Ryan Murphy admitted Britney was being handled with "kid gloves" and that the episode wouldn't delve into her troubled personal life.
