New Directions sings "Empire State of Mind" in the first promo video for the second season of the Emmy-Award winning show!It's about damn time!

Vulture debuted the first on-air promo for the second season of Glee, which won its first Emmy's over the weekend.

The new season premieres September 21, and Fox has finally given up this short video preview.

McKinley's High School's New Directions takes on Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind" in this video, with Mr. Shue boldly declaring "They say we only sing show tunes and eighties pop. Let's show them how down we are." This year the club sets its eyes on Nationals in New York City, which explains the nod to Jay-Z.

We also get to see the cast singing and dancing in the "New York" t-shirts we showed you a few months ago. And you gotta love Mr. Shue's battle cry: "We have to go from a small rebel force to a giant wall of sound!"

I love the song "Empire State of Mind!" What a good song for the first promo! I really can't wait for the next Glee Second Season!
