Lea Michele said in a recent interview that she has a close relationship with fellow Glee cast members and that she is living the dream.
Michele was interviewed by Glamour magazine, and the story is slated to be released in their October issue.
During the interview, she said that her friendship on the show isn’t merely acting.
“I don’t have family in LA” she told the magazine. “They are my family, honestly...I love my cast.”
The 24-year-old actress said she learned a lot from fellow cast members, adding that she thought she would have conflicts with Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes Jones on the Fox show.
“We’re both big personalities, and you definitely would think we’d bump heads. But she has taught me more about myself than anyone," Michele told the magazine. "She inspires me, she protects me, she makes me laugh, she tells me not to take myself so seriously. She’s my Mama Amber.”
Even though she’s only 24, Michele has been involved in show business since she was 9 or 10 years old when she made her debut on Broadway in the play Les Miserables. She was involved with theater until she joined Glee in 2009.
After joining Glee, she said that her parents "are still in shock" due to her success.
"It’s everything that we kind of dreamed of," she said. "When I was a little kid, my mother and I used to watch the Golden Globes and I would dress up and she would get sparkling apple cider and we would make a tray of hors d’oeuvres and watch it together. And I would get up and make a pretend speech."
